Most people approach animal communication the same way they approach everything else in life… gather information, analyze it, figure out what it means, and then share “the answer.” It makes total sense. That’s what we’re taught to do as functioning human beings.
The problem? When it comes to connecting intuitively with animals, that approach is exactly what blocks connection.
There’s a mindset shift that changes everything… and once you get it, animal communication becomes so much easier. My students affectionately call it the Screw It Technique (you’ll see why in a minute). The official name is the Intuitive Trust Method, and it’s the difference between struggling to trust your animal communication and actually letting the animal’s voice come through clearly.
What Is the Intuitive Trust Method
The Intuitive Trust Method is a mindset shift that allows intuitive information from animals to flow through without mental interference. Rather than analyzing, interpreting, or second-guessing what you receive during animal communication, you learn to share the information exactly as it comes… trusting that the animal knows exactly what they need to communicate.
So why do so many people struggle with this? Because we’ve been trained our whole lives to be the ones in charge of figuring things out. We gather data, we process it, we come up with answers. That works great for most of life. But in animal communication, that same instinct actually puts YOUR interpretation on top of what the animal is sharing… and suddenly it’s not purely their voice anymore. It’s their voice filtered through your assumptions, your logic, your need to “get it.”
The Intuitive Trust Method asks you to do something that feels counterintuitive at first: Let the animal lead. Trust that this animal is connected to spirit in a way that you don’t have everyday access to. They know more than you in this moment. They have something to teach you. And if you try to filter their message through your little human brain first… you lose it.
That’s why my students call it the Screw It Technique. Because at some point, you just have to say, “Screw it. I don’t have to understand it. I don’t have to ‘get’ it. I just have to receive it and share it.”

The Intuitive Trust Method and Animal Communication
The Intuitive Trust Method directly supports telepathic animal communication by removing the biggest block most people experience: the need to understand before they share. When someone learns to trust the information coming through without analyzing it first, their readings become clearer, more accurate, and more meaningful for both the animal and their human.
Here’s what typically happens without this method: You’re doing a reading, and you receive something from the animal. Maybe it’s an image of a red ball. Or a feeling of tightness in your chest. Or a random word like “basement.” Your brain immediately kicks in… “What does this mean? I need to get more information. I should be more sure of this before I share it. Let me figure out what this all means first.”
And right there? You’ve just taken the animal’s voice and buried it under your need to have it all figured out.
With the Intuitive Trust Method, you receive that image of the red ball and you share it. Period. You feel that tightness in your chest and you mention it. You hear “basement” and you say it out loud. You don’t have to know why. You don’t have to understand the significance. That’s not your job. Your job is to be the messenger… to let the animal’s communication come through as purely as possible.
The understanding? That comes after. Usually from the animal’s human, who hears “red ball” and immediately tears up because that was their dog’s favorite toy that they buried him with. You couldn’t have known that. You didn’t need to know that. You just needed to trust the information enough to share it.
Is Animal Communication Real
Yes. Animal communication is a natural telepathic ability that animals use constantly to share thoughts, emotions, and information with each other and with humans. It’s not something invented or imagined… it’s something that already exists and that humans can learn to tap back into.
Here’s what most people don’t realize: You were already doing this as a kid. Most children naturally communicate with animals until somewhere around age five or six when the adults around them make it clear that “talking to animals” isn’t real. So you shut it down. You stopped trusting what you were receiving. You learned to only believe what could be proven with logic and facts.
But the ability didn’t go away. It just went dormant.
Animal communication is simply reopening that channel. And animals? They’ve been waiting for you to remember. They communicate with each other telepathically all the time… through feelings, images, sensations, and knowing. They’re already fluent in this language. The question isn’t whether they can communicate with you. The question is whether you’re willing to trust what you receive.
How Telepathic Communication With Animals Works
Animals communicate telepathically by sending intuitive information through feelings, images, physical sensations, and inner knowing. This connection doesn’t require words… though sometimes words or phrases will come through as part of the message. The key is learning to recognize and trust these different forms of communication.
So what does this actually look like in practice?
Feelings and emotions: You might suddenly feel a wave of sadness, excitement, or anxiety that isn’t yours. The animal is sharing their emotional state directly with you.
Images and visuals: You might see a picture in your mind… a specific location, a person, an object, a scene. Dogs especially love communicating through visuals.
Physical sensations: You might feel something in your own body… a tightness in your throat, an ache in your hip, a flutter in your stomach. Horses often communicate through body sensations. This is the animal showing you what they’re experiencing physically.
Words or phrases: Sometimes a word or short phrase will just pop into your mind. It might seem random. It usually isn’t.
Inner knowing: Sometimes you just… know something. You can’t explain how or why, but the information is suddenly there.
The Intuitive Trust Method works with all of these. Whatever form the information takes, your job stays the same: receive it and share it without needing to understand it first. The animal chose that specific way to communicate for a reason. Trust it.
How to Practice the Intuitive Trust Method
The Intuitive Trust Method comes down to one core practice: receive the intuitive information from the animal and share it… without analyzing or interpreting it first. That’s it. Simple to understand, harder to actually do because it goes against everything you’ve been taught.
Here’s the basic process:
- Get into a receptive state. Before you connect, you need to be in the right headspace. This might be through energy management, grounding, or whatever method works for you to quiet your analytical mind and open up intuitively.
- Connect with the animal. Use whatever method you’ve been working with to establish the telepathic connection. (If you don’t know how to do the actual connection yet, that’s what a class like Soul Level Animal Communication® 101 teaches.)
- Receive whatever comes. Images, feelings, sensations, words, knowing… whatever shows up, notice it. Don’t judge it. Don’t analyze it. Just receive.
- Share it immediately, exactly as it came. THIS is the Intuitive Trust Method. This is the whole thing right here. If you’re reading for someone else, say it out loud: “I’m seeing a red ball.” “I feel tightness in my chest.” “The word ‘basement’ just popped in.” If you’re connecting with your own animal, write it down exactly as you received it… no interpretation, no “what I think this means.” Keep it pure. Don’t wait until you understand it. Don’t clean it up. This is where the “screw it” comes in… you receive something that feels random or weird or like you’re definitely making it up, and instead of holding back, you say “screw it” and share it anyway. That’s almost always where the magic is. This step is where most people struggle, and it’s where everything changes when you finally trust it.
- Context comes after. If you’re reading for someone else, the animal’s human will usually know exactly what the information means… even when you had no clue. If you’re working with your own animal, you examine your uninterpreted notes afterward to start understanding the context. Either way, the meaning reveals itself AFTER you’ve shared or recorded the pure information… not before.
Your Role in the Intuitive Trust Method
Your role in the Intuitive Trust Method is to be a throughway… not an interpreter. The more you can get your analytical brain out of the way, the more clearly the animal’s voice comes through. Your job is to receive and relay, not to understand.
This is a big shift for most people. We’re used to being the ones who figure things out. We gather information, we process it, we come up with answers. That’s what good thinkers do, right?
But in animal communication, that same skill becomes a liability. Every time you try to “make sense” of what you’re receiving, you’re layering your own assumptions on top of the animal’s message. You’re editing their voice. You’re deciding what’s important and what isn’t before you even share it.
Your emotional state matters too. If you’re anxious, scattered, or attached to getting a specific answer, that energy interferes with the connection. The calmer and more neutral you can be, the easier it is to receive clearly.
The goal is to become almost invisible in the process. The animal communicates, you relay, the human receives. That’s it. You’re the messenger… not the editor.
Your Animal’s Role in the Intuitive Trust Method
Animals naturally adjust the intuitive information they share based on how emotionally open the person is and how ready they are to hear it. They intuitively know what the person can best receive… and what they most need to hear. The more you practice the Intuitive Trust Method, the more you’ll notice how precisely animals calibrate their communication.
This kind of intuitive communication is innate to all animals. They use it every day to survive… to sense danger, to find food, to communicate with each other. It’s not something special that happens only during a “reading.” It’s how they naturally operate. So when you connect with them this way, you’re tapping into something they’re already doing all the time.
So, if you don’t get something the first time, rather than getting frustrated, trust that there’s a wise intention behind the information. Slow down and allow yourself to process it once you’re out of the reading. They know what they’re doing.
Your job is just to stay open and keep trusting. They’ll do the rest.
The Intuitive Trust Method for Dogs
Dogs love communicating through vivid visuals and strong emotions. (This is a generalization, of course… every dog is different, and you’ll develop your own sense of how individual animals communicate with you over time.) When practicing the Intuitive Trust Method with dogs, you may notice an abundance of images… scenes from their daily life, pictures of their favorite spots, visual memories of experiences with their humans. Dogs often “show” rather than “tell.”
When dogs communicate during a reading, they often send these visual snapshots. You might see a specific room in a house, a piece of furniture, a person’s face, or an object that means something to them. You might also feel their emotions intensely… dogs aren’t subtle about how they feel.
The key with dogs is to share those visuals even when they seem mundane or random. “I’m seeing a blue couch” might not mean anything to you, but it might be exactly where that dog sleeps every night. Trust the images.
The Intuitive Trust Method for Cats
Cats love visuals too, but they also love to “chat.” (Again, this is a generalization… every cat is an individual.) With cats, you might receive more words, phrases, or even what feels like full thoughts and opinions. Cats have a lot to say… and strong opinions about pretty much everything.
If you’ve ever lived with a cat, this probably doesn’t surprise you. Cats are observers. They watch, they judge, they have thoughts about all of it. And when they finally get a channel to express those thoughts? They use it.
During readings with cats, you might notice a different energy than with dogs. It can feel more… conversational. Like the cat is actually talking to you rather than just sending impressions. Some cats are very direct. Some are more mysterious. Their personalities come through strongly.
The Intuitive Trust Method works the same way… receive and share without filtering. But with cats, you might find yourself sharing more verbal information. “She says the new food is acceptable but not her favorite.” “He wants you to know he’s not mad, he’s disappointed.” Trust it, even when it sounds very… cat.
The Intuitive Trust Method for Horses
Horses love communicating through emotions. (And yes, this is also a generalization… individual horses vary.) When connecting with a horse, you may feel strong emotional impressions… a wave of anxiety, a sense of calm, deep grief, or exhilaration. Horses are incredibly emotionally attuned creatures, and their communication often reflects that.
This makes the Intuitive Trust Method especially important with horses because the information you receive might not come in words or pictures at all. It might just be a feeling that washes over you. A sudden shift in your emotional state that wasn’t there before.
People new to animal communication sometimes dismiss these emotional shifts as “just my own feelings.” But when you’re connected to a horse and suddenly feel something you weren’t feeling before… that’s information. That’s the horse sharing something about their emotional experience.
Horses can also communicate visually and through body sensations, of course. But if you’re working with horses and you’re not paying attention to what you’re feeling emotionally, you’re probably missing a lot of what they’re sharing.

The Intuitive Trust Method for All Animals
The Intuitive Trust Method works with all animals… pets, farm animals, wildlife, even insects. The core principle stays the same regardless of species: receive the intuitive information and share it without filtering through your analytical brain first.
Every animal communicates intuitively. Every animal has thoughts, feelings, preferences, and experiences they can share. The form that communication takes might vary… some species are more visual, some more feeling-based, some more verbal… but the ability to connect is universal.
And here’s the thing… every person who practices animal communication will eventually develop their own patterns. You might find that you always receive information a certain way regardless of the species. Or you might discover that you naturally tune into different channels depending on who you’re connecting with.
There’s no wrong way to receive as long as you’re trusting what comes through. The Intuitive Trust Method isn’t about forcing communication into a specific form. It’s about letting the animal lead and trusting whatever shows up.
Does the Intuitive Trust Method Work
Yes. The Intuitive Trust Method works because it removes the biggest barrier to clear animal communication… your analytical mind trying to control the process. When you stop filtering, interpreting, and second-guessing, the animal’s voice comes through much more clearly.
I’ve been teaching this for over 20 years, and the pattern is consistent. Students who struggle with animal communication are almost always struggling because they’re trying to understand before they share. They’re holding back information until they’re “sure.” They’re analyzing when they should be receiving.
The moment they give themselves permission to share without understanding first… everything shifts. Suddenly the readings are more accurate. The information is more specific. The animal’s human starts crying because you said something you couldn’t possibly have known.
That’s not magic. That’s what happens when you get out of the way and let the animal actually communicate.
Signs the Intuitive Trust Method Is Working
Common signs the Intuitive Trust Method is working include readings that feel easier, information that comes through faster, and feedback from animal’s humans that confirms details you couldn’t have known. You’ll also notice yourself relaxing more during readings and feeling less anxious about whether you’re “doing it right.”
Here are some specific things students notice:
Readings feel easier. Instead of straining to receive, information just starts showing up.
You stop second-guessing as much. That voice that says “you’re making this up” gets quieter (not silent, but quieter).
You start noticing patterns. Maybe you always receive information a certain way, or certain types of information come through easily for you.
Validation starts stacking up. The animal’s human confirms something, then something else, then something else. And you realize… this is working.
You catch yourself almost holding something back, then sharing it anyway. That “screw it” moment becomes more automatic.
One of the most powerful signs? You’re in a group reading or class, you receive something but hold it back because you’re not sure… and then another student says the exact same thing and gets confirmation. That’s a humbling moment. But it teaches you fast.
Why Trust Matters in Telepathic Animal Communication
Trust is the foundation of telepathic connection because without it, you filter everything the animal shares through your own doubt. The animal sends information, you question it, and their voice gets lost. Trust allows the communication to flow through clearly.
Think about it from the animal’s perspective. They’re already communicating. They’re sending images, feelings, sensations, words. And on the other end, the human keeps dismissing what they’re receiving. Keeps saying “that doesn’t make sense” or “I need more information before I can share that.”
Imagine trying to have a conversation with someone who questioned every single thing you said. Who asked for proof before they’d believe you. Who kept interrupting to analyze whether your words were valid.
That’s frustrating. Really frustrating.
The good news? Animals are patient. They’ll stick with you through your entire process… from trusting to not trusting and back again. They’re not going anywhere. But you can save yourself a lot of frustration by just doing the method. Trust what comes through. Share it. Let the meaning reveal itself after.
Common Mistakes With the Intuitive Trust Method
The most common mistake with the Intuitive Trust Method is not sharing because you aren’t sure yet. Other mistakes include adding interpretation to what you receive, asking for more and more information so you can feel certain, and letting your emotions or expectations color the reading.
Let’s break these down:
Needing to be “sure” before sharing. This is the big one. You receive something, but instead of sharing it, you hold back. You try to understand it first. You ask the animal for more information so you can be certain. By the time you share (if you share at all), you’ve already filtered it through your brain and lost the purity of the original message.
Adding your interpretation. You receive an image of a green field. Instead of saying “I’m seeing a green field,” you say “Your dog misses running free in nature.” That’s interpretation. You’ve taken the animal’s information and added your own meaning to it.
Dismissing the “random” stuff. Often the most random-seeming information is the most meaningful. That word that popped in for no reason. That image that doesn’t seem connected to anything. Those are usually gold. Don’t dismiss them.
Letting your expectations interfere. If you’re hoping the animal will say something specific, or if you have an emotional investment in the outcome, that energy can color what you receive. Stay neutral.
Thinking too much about whether you’re doing it right. Funny thing here: worrying about whether you’re trusting enough… is not trusting. At some point, you just have to do it.
What the Intuitive Trust Method Teaches You About Yourself
The Intuitive Trust Method reveals patterns in how you process information, where you hold back, and what triggers your need to control or understand before you share. Many people discover that their “blocks” in animal communication mirror “blocks” in other areas of their life.
Here’s the thing… those “blocks” aren’t really blocks. They’re just mindsets and beliefs you have about yourself. The need to be right. The fear of looking foolish. The belief that you have to have everything figured out before you can share your perspective. Once you understand these patterns, the “block” starts to dissolve.
And this is where the Screw It part becomes about so much more than animal communication.
When you simply say, “Screw it”… you’re freeing yourself from all of those expectations. The need to be certain. The pressure to understand first. The fear of being wrong. You’re just letting yourself receive and share… and trusting that it’s enough.
That spills over into everything. You start trusting yourself more in other areas. You start sharing your voice even when you’re not 100% sure. You get more comfortable with not having all the answers.
The animals are teaching you way more than animal communication. They’re teaching you how to trust yourself.
How the Intuitive Trust Method Changes Your Relationship With Animals
The Intuitive Trust Method deepens your relationship with animals by opening a two-way channel of real communication. Instead of guessing what your animal needs or wants, you can actually ask… and trust the answer. This creates a level of understanding and connection that most people have never experienced.
When you practice this with your own animals, everything shifts. You’re no longer just observing their behavior and trying to interpret it from the outside. You’re having an actual back-and-forth conversation… asking questions, receiving answers, understanding each other in real time.
You can ask why they’re doing that weird thing they do. You can find out what they need. You can understand their perspective on something that’s happening in the household. You can connect with them in a way that feels mutual… like a real relationship between two beings who understand each other.
This is why people get emotional when they first start practicing animal communication. It’s not just cool to talk to animals. It’s the realization that your animal has been communicating with you this whole time… and now you can finally hear them.
