Suffering from Energetic Constipation?

I wish there was some way to put a little smiley face right next to that title – as I don’t want you all to think I’m taking myself too seriously here!

As much as I many have been laughing about the name, Energetic Constipation is everywhere right now. Have you been feeling stuck? Like things in your life are moving MUCH too slow? Like with all the effort you’re making you should be getting a whole lot more back? Energetic Constipation is that feeling of being in a perpetual hold, slow motion… limbo. You’ve probably laying in bed at night hoping that everything will get back to “normal” soon.

Sorry. It’s not going to happen. Not tomorrow anyway. And not “back” to normal. We’re working on creating a new kind of normal.

Today (and for the next couple of months) the Universe is taking time to get things organized. Energies, ideas, people and even countries are being shifted and sorted in order create a space more aligned with support the upcoming changes. (Oh boy – I can just hear the collective moans, “Ugh! Let’s just get on with it already!”)  While it’s great to know that more support and forward movement is coming, if you’re anything like me you’re wondering what you can do to facilitate this all happening with more ease (and of course more quickly).

So, first, there really isn’t much you can do to speed things up however there’s a lot you can do (and a lot of us are doing) to slow things down or clunk things up (obviously not a desirable outcome). Talking about how icky things feel right now, worrying that your life will never feel better, complaining that nothing is going your way… all of these will deter or possibly even halt your progress.

Instead, take a moment to drink some energetic prune juice to get things moving as gracefully and smoothly as possible!

1. Find something in your current routine that gives you comfort – and do more of it!

2. Make sure you’re clear, calm and grounded. It’s much easier to ride the waves when you, yourself are balanced.

3. Make ONE small change in your everyday life that gives you hope about the future.

4. Stop reading everything that is out there about the “End of the World” coming in 2012! Negative energy feeds negative energy!

5. Come together with like-minded others and HAVE SOME FUN!

Ok, so in light of #5, I want you all to participate in this post too. After all, I don’t have all the answers – this is the first time I’ve experienced this energy as well! So, how will YOU positively navigate the current Energetic Constipation? Tell everyone below…

    Live everyone else, I also thought it was just me, even though my higher self knew something was in the wind. I took this time to not take any new clients and to focus on my own growth and my garden. I feel too that for some reason when I wake up in the morning, I don’t have that “What am I going to work on today” thought, rather, I am sleeping longer and feeling that I need to rejuvinate myself for what is to come. I live in Croatia and I am experiencing that some kind of geological shift is about to happen here, not sure how and what, but I am feeling it. For some reason I am buying up food supplies and collecting jugs to fill up with water. Even my husband feels I am acting strange, but I just tell him that my intuition is telling me to do this and I don’t question it. For those that have not thought about it, perhaps it is time to do so. Prepare your family for an event and ensure you have lights, water and food for an extended period. Not because I feel something is about to happen, but our world is changing and weather extremes are all over the globe, it’s always good to know that if something should happen, we have basics stocked up at home.

    Meditation and yoga are generally what keep me grounded and light of heart. I have definitely been moving in and out of these strange energies, even my animals have recently been unwell. Whenever I get myself on the mat I feel much better. Tonight I meditated for an hour and took a bath w/ salts and essential oils. These practices tend to help me w/ everything. One mantra I like to repeat, “Thy will be done.”

    The best part of my taking the time to read these comments is that I too no longer feel so alone in my struggles. My only consolation lately has been that everyone else in my family (who were normally manifesting without a lot of drama) are having the same problems. I recently heard that these “problems” that keep jumping into our lives is to keep our attention focused elsewhere because something really important is waiting to be born. I like that. We can’t have too many cooks in the kitchen…

    When I feel anxious – that really nervous feeling in my solar plexus, which I’ve been feeling a lot lately (and really never before in my life) – I’ve learned that by at least doing five or more sun salutations (yoga) help balance me and makes the feeling dissipate for sometime. Also the companionship of my five dogs helps too. They have always, always grounded me. Luv my dogs!

    My friend Sandy and I are going to buddy up and send each other one little email saying one thing we have done or thought that day to pamper ourselves, enrich our lives, unstick, and/or prepare for our wonderful futures!!

    I am taking better care of myself. Funny, when I am anxious on the energetic level and close off I get Energetic Constipation which transfers to the Physical Level.

    I just bought myself a Nutribullet which breaks down raw foods into liquid and I’ve been putting in Chia Seeds, Flax Seeds, Sunflower Seeds and Maca Powder along with varied raw greens and vegetables. Since I have been drinking these mixtures for around a week now I have been as smooth, easy and regular as glass.

    The link between the physical and the spiritual is so profound. Remember there is always a stream connecting them back and forth and every aspect of their relationship has to be weighed and taken into account.

Taking responsibility for creating good news in life… life doesn’t happen without us, and if changes come without our intention then they surprise us and kick us in the behind!     I am observing the sky and my surroundings more than I ever have, and taking in the beauty, plus, I am finding the joy in even the little things around me, and not letting the negative energies get to me as they used to.

    I am so grateful to have read that this is not just me! I have hope again and will defintitely continue to do the things that feed my soul. Taking walks in nature, singing, and looking for at least one positive thing each day.

    So appreciative Danielle that you have shared this EC with us. Knowing that it affects alot of people and that it is birthing change helps somewhat. Main thing I try to do is to just observe it and refrain from negative behaviors to try to feel better. Positive ways to feel better are breathing outdoors and practicing staying calm with discomfort. It comes and goes so I practice unattachment/ not always knowing — best as I can.

    Enjoy the experience! As “uncomfortable” as it may seem this is still an amazing experience that we GET to experience! We signed up for these physical bodies to be here and feel these things that we have probably never felt before and most likely never will again! So I say enjoy that we get the opportunity to feel all of these heavier energies because energy is just energy and if we are infinite then we are ALL of the energies out there! So embrace it and thank it for this awesome human experience that we get to have!

    This is perfect timing for me to receive this e-mail on
    Energetic Constipation….I even took an exlax this morning
    but it hasn’t worked yet….maybe I will go for a jog along
    the river valley to shake things up abit.

    I was up most of the night trying to figure out what was wrong with me because I am stuck and can’t seem to get it together. I have done alot of healing was in a good place but I seem to have lost it. After reading these
    e-mails I can see that I am not alone. I just need to be patient and
    remember to BREATHE my way through this phase and remind myself “this too
    shall pass” Thank you everyone for sharing……I was able to laugh this morning….what a relief!

      this is a good one for me too…. I am eccentric and sensitive and phychic and arty and soul infused and in need to move to a place where I can be safe and who I am……. I am no longer safe where I am living now…..

    Well, hallelujah!
    I have just been trying to tell my husband that I am so STUCK and can’t quite seem to get ‘ahead’ in anything — football booster mom, two teenage boys, new puppy (PEE and TEEEEETH), work, laundry, exercise and diet!! So… it’s NOT ME! There! I am feelin more spunky already.

    I’ve been doing what Angela is doing and it feels great! Clearing old stuff creates room for what I truly want to manifest. It works! Flow with it and expand your energy into the new space. This may be a time of energetic constipation for some people but it’s not permanent. I’m staying future focused. Thanks for the article, Danielle!

    im trying to CLEAR out my life right now…starting with STUFF I just dont need-Materialistic stuff.
    I am also taking more strolls and time with NATURE…going to the Parks and just relaxing and enjoying fresh air.
    Working on little projects that are fun for me.
    Also working on getting done tasks that i have delayed for too long

    Whew, what a relief to see it’s not just me. I have felt off -I have events scheduled that the intuition is used for- I get a little concerned as I want to be at my best for others. I then work on my breathing and eat more mindfully and have the trust that my spiritual team is there for me when I need them. Stepping forward into my light and being the best human I can be at that time is what I do when this phase comes up. Thanks Danielle for bringing this up.

    I immerse myself in nature. Find something beautiful to appreciate every day – every moment, if things are intense. Move, dance, sing. It’s nature and my creative side that help keep me balanced so I can surf the waves of change.

    I’m spending as much time as possible out in nature during this beautiful fall season.
    Really “being” with the birds, swans, ducks, turtles, trees, water and all of nature, with all these beautiful colors and sunshine definitely feeds the soul!

      and everything natural and espiritual. But my life has been kind of different, people around me are assessed with the idea of the world ending, very depressing, not me, I want to continue living.making plans and having an other dog (boxer)with me.

    As Lesley said above…wow, I thought it was just me! Struggling with feelings of no one caring, being alone in the search for consciousness, and truly “stuck” with daily situations at work, home, & with family and friends. I was convinced last week that I was having some sort of midlife crisis 🙁
    So, for myself, the way through this EC is to maintain connections through a Reiki group, help others with energywork and shiatsu, and know that this appears to be a collective obstruction, so it WILL pass!

    The new energy is affecting so many people everyday now. I believe that if you stay connected to source, and focus on the good, and what you want to attract into your life, it will come. All of the things I believe and trust in will guide me through anything. All of us can trust our feelings and stay grounded. Taking care of ourselves is first. It’s not selfish, it’s positive.

    I’ve been on the self changing path towards the light for quite some time now; not expecting others to change their energy, but changing my own, adding light where there are are complaints or negativity. I have good and bad days despite spiritual evolution and expanded sensitivity. I do have a problem staying clear and grounded, my left side wants to float away. Despite this, I have a gift and a path which hasn’t been revealed clearly, and the coming change in global awareness sometimes adds to the confusion exactly when I’m ungrounded, which can come on very quickly. The point being; I have to ask myself if I’m grounded when anxious feelings increase. It isn’t automatic…This is what I need to do more often.

    Funny, life seems to be going very fast for me and the people I tend to hang out with. Marvelous openings are happening; life is exciting and fulfilling. So much new experiences to process and enjoy. Can hardly keep up with myself, and that is fun for someone who tends to stay still and be quiet a lot.

    Maybe the reason is that people I associate with DO NOT let ourselves get stuck in the fear ridden news and conversations you speak of in #4. Election time is one to be especially vigilent and avoid all the negativity and fear inducing conversations.

    Wow, I thought it was just me. I will continue to take time to quiet my mind. Meditation is the MOST important thing that keeps me clear, grounded and connected to all that is around me. Daily positive affirmations start me off on the right foot and keep me focussed. I have them posted in my home AND in my workspace to help remind me that even though people and situations can be negative around me, I can don’t have to let it affect me.
