Can Skeptics Still Learn Animal Communication?

Can skeptics still learn animal communication?

Yes. And it’s not because I’m being generous about it, it’s because intuition isn’t something you get handed once you believe hard enough. You already have it. Being unsure doesn’t switch it off.

What matters isn’t whether you’re convinced. It’s whether you’re open to finding out.

Can Skeptics Still Learn Animal Communication? The Honest Answer Ever!

Yes, with one condition, and the condition is about what kind of skeptic you are.

A true skeptic is someone who genuinely isn’t sure. Not sold yet, and open-minded about finding out. Well, that person can learn animal communication, and does, all the time!

What doesn’t work is showing up planning to disprove it. That isn’t skepticism, that’s a verdict with a seat in the classroom. It is impossible to actually learn any skill if you spend the whole time negating and putting down everything you’re being taught, and a psychic skill is no different.

My Journey From Corporate Project Manager to Professional Animal Communicator

When I was a kid, I was told that intuition, psychics and talking animals were hooey, made-up things, invented by people who wanted to con me. So, I did what you do with something that you’re told isn’t real. I went and built a more acceptable life instead.

I was finishing up my MBA (which I didn’t love) and working as a project manager in the corporate world at a fortune 500 company. I was succeeding at it, too and moving up the corporate ladder.

Then my dog got sick. It was the type of sick that the vet couldn’t figure out and a friend told me about a pet psychic who lived in the area. I took her, along with my skeptic hydrogeologist husband in for a reading.

That animal communication reading changed my life, and saved my dog! That pet psychic told me things about my life, that there was no possible way he would have known. Even my husband had to admit, something was up! I suddenly knew this was all real and I knew I HAD to learn how to do it myself.

In one reading I went from skeptic of animal communication to believer.

Do You Have to Believe in Animal Communication for It to Work

Do You Have to Believe in Animal Communication for It to Work?

Not in the way you might be picturing. This isn’t about faith in a higher power, and it isn’t about religion at all.

What it takes is some belief in yourself. Trying to learn this stuff feels risky to a lot of people. Like, what will the neighbors say!? So what’s actually required is feeling comfortable enough to take the risk and follow your own interest anyway, even when the people around you don’t get it.

Now, believing in animal communication in general does make it easier. I’m not going to pretend otherwise. If you already think this is real, you get to spend your time catching the intuitive information coming from the animal instead of debating with yourself about whether any of it is possible.

And if you don’t believe it at first? Practice. Keep going and eventually the animals will get you there. They’re pretty good at that.

Why Do Logical and Analytical People Often Make Excellent Animal Communicators?

Here’s what I can actually tell you, and it’s a little different from the question.

About 75% of my students categorize themselves as analytical or logical people. Which is interesting all by itself, that such a high percentage of very logical humans want to learn animal communication.

But I have NOT seen that an analytical person makes a BETTER animal communicator. What I’ve seen is that most of the people who do this happen to be analytical.

At first the logical brain can seem to get in the way. It wants the intuition to go a certain way, it wants the intuition to feel a certain way, and it wants the whole thing to make sense while it’s happening.

Then, partway through most of the animal communication classes I teach, the analytical brain starts to relax. Instead of trying to control the reading, it gets to sit back and observe all the incredible things that are happening. So instead of judging and controlling, which is what most of us use our analytical parts for, the brain comes along for the ride. Being blown away in a good way, again and again.

How to Tell the Difference Between Imagination and Real Animal Communication

Everyone has this fear, and everyone has made this mistake. Something arrives, you take it as intuitive information from the animal, and later you work out that your own brain made it up.

It’s not the end of the world. I’ve been doing this 25+ years and I still make that mistake sometimes.

The trick is going to sound backwards: stop trying to figure out whether it’s you or the animal before you share the information. The only way to truly know is to get yourself out of CENSOR mode, or “I must have the answer” mode, and into “well, who knows! Let’s take a risk and see!” mode.

And when you do that, the animals enjoy you a whole lot more anyway. You enjoy it more too. Which always leads to a better connection and yes, more accuracy!

What Happens When a Skeptic Tries Animal Communication for the First Time?

A first session is usually loud with doubt. You receive something, and then you spend a good while talking yourself back out of it.

That’s common, and it isn’t a skeptic thing. The students who show up wanting so badly to be able to do this do exactly the same. There isn’t a huge difference between a student who’s all in and really wants to learn, and a skeptic who’s all in and really wants to learn. The biggest difference is that the voice in the skeptic’s head might be a little bit better at coming up with reasons why this isn’t really true.

So if that’s where you are, keep going. Keep playing. Keep enjoying yourself.

The more you enjoy yourself the more you let go, and the more you let go the more information can come in, and the more comes in the easier the whole thing gets, until eventually the skepticism turns into pure joy.

How to Start Learning Animal Communication Even If You Are Skeptical

I’ve taught thousands of people how to do intuitive animal communication: with their own pets, with their friends’ pets, and with animals who have crossed over. Plenty of them came to me as true skeptics. Interested, but not sure it’s real, or fine with it being real and not at all sure they could ever do it themselves.

The biggest hump to get over is simply the risk factor. Taking the class despite what the people around you might say, and despite your own brain telling you this is crazy.

The other thing to be sure of is that you pick a teacher you feel truly comfortable with. Approachable. Someone who speaks to you in a way that opens you up rather than shuts you down or makes you feel fearful in any way. The teacher really matters here, because if you’re truly a skeptic you need somebody you feel can hold your hand through it.

That’s what Soul Level Animal Communication 101 is for. Six weeks, and you’re in it with me live, asking questions, trying things, with a whole crew of other people doing it right alongside you.

And if you’d rather have a look around first before you commit to anything, start with some free resources like my animal communication blog section, or animal communicator YouTube channel, and see what happens when you try a little of it yourself.

How to Learn Animal Communication If You Are Skeptical

FAQ

Can skeptics learn animal communication?

Yes. A skeptic is someone who isn’t sold yet but is open-minded about finding out, and that person learns this all the time. The only version of skepticism that gets in the way is arriving determined to disprove everything, because nobody learns any skill that way.

Do I have to believe in psychic abilities for animal communication to work?

No, and this isn’t about religion or belief in a higher power. What helps is a bit of belief in yourself, enough to take the risk and follow your own interest. It’s easier if you already believe animal communication is real, because then you can spend your time catching the information instead of debating it, but if you don’t believe yet, practice will get you there.

How do I know if animal communication is real or if I’m imagining it?

Everyone worries about this, and everyone gets it wrong sometimes. I’ve been at this 25+ years and I still do. The move is to stop deciding whether it’s you or the animal before you share it, and get yourself out of “I must have the answer” mode and into “who knows, let’s see” mode.

What if I try animal communication and nothing happens?

Usually something did happen and you talked yourself out of it, which is what almost everybody does at first. Keep going, keep playing, and keep enjoying yourself, because the more you enjoy it the more you let go, and the more you let go the more can come in.

Can anyone learn animal communication, even a complete non-believer?

Anyone can use animal communication, so yes, as long as “non-believer” means not convinced rather than out to prove it’s nonsense. If you’re open to finding out, the animals will do a lot of the convincing themselves once you start practicing.
