Can animals communicate with other species?

Yes, they can, and they’re doing it right now, while you’re reading this.

It just may not look like what you’re picturing because there are 2 completely different kinds of communication going on between species. There’s the kind most people expect, which runs on the five senses, and then there’s the kind that runs on the sixth.

Can Animals Communicate With Other Species?

OK so let’s take the 5 senses into consideration first, because that part is visible and you can watch it happen in your own backyard.

Imagine two animals of totally different species end up in the same space. They see each other, smell each other (a lot of smelling going on!), hear each other moving around long before you notice a thing. All of that is real, tangible communication, and it’s going back and forth constantly without either animal making any effort at all.

But that’s only half of what’s happening.

The other half is intuitive. Animals talk to one another intuitively. They send information, they receive it, they answer back. Intuition is the ability they’re using, and energy is what carries the message, the same way sound waves carry your voice when you’re yelling for the dog to come in for dinner.

And the intuitive half doesn’t care about species. Not even a little. A cat isn’t only in intuitive conversation with other cats. She’s in intuitive conversation with the dog, with the bird at the window, and with whoever else is around.

This is how two animals who share zero physical language still manage to work out exactly how they’re going to live together.

Can a Dog and Cat Communicate in the Same Home?

Yes! And a dog and a cat are a great example, because what each of them needs is so different.

Physically, they’ve got plenty to work with. They see each other all day, hear each other, definitely smell each other. If your dog comes charging across the room and your cat goes straight up onto the bookshelf, that’s a whole conversation right there and it took about two seconds.

But the physical stuff only gets them so far. A dog’s needs and a cat’s needs are not the same needs, and that’s not something they can sort out by sniffing.

So they lean on their intuitive senses to handle the rest. And oh yes! There is plenty of psychic negotiating going on between two different species sharing a home. Who gets the sunny spot. How close is too close today. What happens at 6am. It’s ongoing, and most of it is settled before anybody in the house notices anything.

How Does Telepathic Communication Differ Between Species?

Here’s what’s underneath all of it: every animal has access to intuition. Every single one (humans included).

The difference is what they do with it. Every animal except us uses intuition to survive. For them it isn’t a bonus feature, it’s equipment.

For instance, deer use theirs to feel a predator nearby before there’s anything to see or hear. Birds are doing the exact same thing.

Coyotes use theirs a little differently. A coyote reads the emotional state of prey, the internal state, and uses that information to decide whether right now is a good moment to pounce.

And gazelles use theirs to know the precise second the lions lying around nearby go from lazy to hunter mode. Not a few minutes after. The second it happens.

Same intuitive ability, yet completely different jobs.

Do Wild Animals Communicate With Pets?

Absolutely they do!

But out in the physical world, wild animals and pets are living very different lives, and that changes how much they’ve got to say to one another. It’s not like the wild animals out back and your dog are chatting psychically all day long.

A wild animal is focused on survival. That’s the whole priority list, basically. Hanging out with the family dog isn’t usually anywhere near the top of it.

And your dog? Not especially concerned with survival, because you’re handling that part: meals show up, etc.

So it’s kind of like when two people meet and don’t have a ton in common. Everybody’s perfectly pleasant about it. There’s just not much to build on.

There are certainly instances where that’s not the case at all- where they do have something in common- and real bonds form through that intuitive connection.

A lot of these connections are shared on social media as humans love to wonder about the “why” behind them. Now you know, they’re intuitive!

How do Domestic Animals Communicate With Other Species

Beyond the physical level (what you see, hear, feel, smell), your pets communicate with other species through intuition. You’ll also hear it called telepathic connection, or psychic connection. Same thing.

And to your pet, it doesn’t actually matter what species the other animal is. Not at all.

The intuitive language is the same across every one of them. So dogs don’t just speak intuitive dog. They speak intuitive cat. Intuitive whale. Intuitive lizard. Really! It’s all the same language which I like to call the language of Unconditional Love.

At the same time as all of this intuition, your pet has still got the physical layer going too, of course. Running at each other, big obvious movements, the smelling. But underneath that, everybody is speaking the same language, no translator needed.

Signs Your Pets Are Communicating Across Species in Your Home

Most of this you will never see. And that’s the thing about intuitive communication between species. It isn’t showy.

There’s no visible signal, or obvious moment where it happens. What you notice instead is the result: some kind of agreement appears to have been reached between the two of them, and nobody consulted you about it.

Now, if you do catch two different species in your house staring at one another, yes, that can be a sign communication is happening.

But that’s just the most obvious sign that our human brains can pick up, and the most obvious sign is not necessarily the common one.

Here’s what’s actually worth watching for. Two pets who have not been getting along, and then they start getting along. That’s it. That’s the sign! When that happens, there’s a very high likelihood they’ve been communicating intuitively and working out how to navigate your home together.

How to Understand and Support Interspecies Communication Between Your Pets

One of the easiest ways to really understand how your pets are communicating with one another, whatever species they are, is to learn psychic animal communication yourself.

That’s what I’ve been teaching for 25+ years.

Because once you can psychically communicate with an animal, you can just ask. Straight out. How do you feel about your dog brother? What do you think about the cat? And they’ll give you a very specific answer back.

Not a vague one, a specific one. Because you know the language they’re using!

And that’s useful in any relationship, human or animal. Knowing how everybody involved actually feels. What they want. What they’d like to change. What they like exactly the way it is.

So if you’ve been wondering what your dog and your cat have been saying to each other all this time, you can find out.

My Soul Level Animal Communication 101 instant access class is where to start. It’s the beginning of the whole thing: how to receive what your animals are sending you, and what to do with it once you’ve got it.

Yes! Show me how to ask them myself!
